ABOUT
Dr Yuan Chen is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine with AHPRA (Reg No. CMR0002265831). His initial background in TCM can be traced back to year 2003 after graduating from the Chinese Medicine College of ShanXi province, China, with four years formal study majoring TCM. He continued to pursue further education to advance his expertise over the past years and graduated from RMIT University in 2018 and 2020 with degrees in Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine respectively. He is a registered TCM practitioner with AHPRA and a member of the Federation of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (FCMA).
Prior to his TCM career, he has been a registered nurse in Australia with more than 10 years experience and is still practising part-time. He shows a genuine understanding of each patient’s special health needs and has an insight into the available health arrangements which in turn collaborate closely with the TCM therapies to offer the best line of treatments for patients. Since commencement of his own acupuncture clinic practice in early 2019, he has gained valuable experience and successfully treated patients with various conditions including gynaecological concerns in which he shows particular interests. Now, with registration in the division of Chinese herbal medicine, he is keen to incorporate this modality into acupuncture as a combined approach to greatly enhance treatment effects for complex conditions experienced by women who may not respond to acupuncture or WM alone. He enjoys the sense of rewarding for helping people to achieve their optimal health and he is determined to deploy all the benefits that TCM has to offer through his sound knowledge, commitment and responsibility into the profession.
